Euclid Square, Roboto, or Arial?
We use two different fonts: Euclid Square for headlines and highlights, and Roboto for body text. Other fonts can be used for different purposes in digital products.
Euclid Square
Euclid Square has a solid visual expression that conveys strength and reliability. The clean and distinctive shapes of the letters make it optimal for large messages and attention-grabbing text. However, it is not well-suited for body text and should only be used for headlines.
In PowerPoint, the font should only be used for slide headers and labels. Use Roboto for other headings on the slide.
Roboto
Roboto is a modern, friendly, screen-optimized sans-serif that balances geometry and humanistic features. Originally developed by Google for Android and other digital platforms, it is one of the most readable fonts for screens.
We use Roboto for body text and subheads on PowerPoint slides. We also use Roboto as body text in printed materials to ensure maximum recognizability.
Roboto is not built into Windows and Mac OS, so we use the Arial font in emails to ensure our messages look right across email programs like Outlook, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.
Email font setup for Mac users
If you are a Mac user you may need to set this up yourself in Outlook.
Select Outlook / Settings and click on Fonts.
Remember to set the font to Arial for both New mails and Reply & Forward and the color must be Retriever blue (#001f4a).
In this way, the color of your text matches your signature.
